From signed proposal to closeout

Your Roofing Project, Step By Step.

A clear look at what happens before, during and after installation—so you always know what comes next.

  1. Project start

    Contract & Financing

After the proposal is signed, we confirm your roof system, selections and project requirements. If you choose financing, lender approval and applicable terms are completed before the project advances.

  2. 1–2 weeks · if applicable

    HOA Approval

If the property has an HOA, we submit the selected material specifications and color for architectural review and approval.

  3. 3–4 weeks · typical estimate

    Permitting

We prepare and submit the permit package, including engineered wind-pressure calculations, Notice of Commencement and applicable product approvals, then track it through issuance.

  4. After permit issuance

    Materials & Scheduling

Once the permit and project requirements are ready, we confirm the installation date and coordinate delivery of the approved roofing materials to the property.

  5. Day 1 on-site

    Open The Roof

Our crew removes the existing roof, replaces damaged deck wood when required, re-nails the deck to code, installs applicable fascia and drip edge, dries in the roof with underlayment and completes the initial area needed to request the in-progress inspection.

  6. Days 2–3 · typical estimate

    In-Progress Inspection

The city or county inspector reviews the deck, underlayment and initial roof installation. The next phase begins after the required inspection passes.

  7. Day 4 on-site · typical estimate

    Complete The Roof

We complete the remaining roof system, flashings, ridge and applicable vents, secure the work area and request the final inspection.

  8. Final closeout

    Final Inspection & Documents

After the final inspection passes, we deliver the closeout package with the applicable manufacturer warranty, 10-year workmanship warranty, approved inspections and final invoice.

Approximately 2–3 weeks on-sitePlanning estimate from Day 1 through project closeout, including workdays, inspection holds and final documentation. HOA, permitting, material availability, weather and inspection schedules can change the sequence.

Helpful answers

Questions? Start Here.

These answers guide the first conversation. Final scope, material choice, permits and pricing are confirmed after review.

How do I start a roof estimate?

Choose “Measure Your Roof for a Free Estimate,” enter the property address, confirm the roof location and select the roof details you know. RE Builders then reviews the request.

Is the price range a final quote?

No. The range is an initial planning tool. The final proposal is based on the verified roof area, selected system, site conditions, permit requirements and scope of work.

Can I request a repair instead of a replacement?

Yes. The estimate flow lets you choose roof repair, roof replacement or a free inspection so the request starts in the right category.

What roof systems can I explore?

You can explore shingle, tile, flat and metal roofing systems. The team helps confirm which option fits the property, budget and roofing conditions.

Why does roof slope affect an estimate?

Sloped roofs require additional roofing material and labor for access, handling and installation. The estimator explains the waste allowance used for the initial range.

Can I upload photos or videos of a leak?

Yes. After you choose a visible leak or property damage option, the estimate flow reveals a place to add photos or videos for the team to review.

What does tapered insulation do on a flat roof?

Tapered insulation is used to create drainage pitch on appropriate flat-roof assemblies. RE Builders confirms whether it suits the existing roof and selected system.

Do you handle permits?

RE Builders confirms the applicable permit requirements for the property and roofing system before work begins and handles the required permitting in the project process.

Can I use Florida PACE for roofing?

Florida PACE lists qualifying roof repairs and replacements among eligible improvements. Availability and qualification depend on the property and participating local program.

Which areas do you serve?

RE Builders serves Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. Call us if you need to confirm coverage for a particular property.
